Can I pray janāzah at sunset?
It should not be delayed into that window, but if the funeral only became ready then, it is prayed. That is the Ḥanafī position for the three strict times (sunrise, zenith, and the sun's setting): praying janāzah then is disliked if the funeral had been ready beforehand, and permitted without dislike if it became ready within the window, because the funeral prayer answers a present obligation. In the Shāfiʿī school the funeral prayer has a present cause and is simply valid in all of these times. The live status below shows where this moment falls at your location.
Rulings differ by madhhab and by what you intend to pray - the live answer below is conditioned on both. Draft pending scholar verification; see the methodology.
